Requirements for the Minor in Criminal Justice

Catalog Year 2026–2027 and Beyond

The minor in criminal justice requires 18 units: 9 units of required courses, 3 units of breadth, and 6 units of electives. Students must achieve a “C-” (1.7) or better in all courses counted toward the minor, and earn a minimum 2.0 GPA in the minor.

At least 12 of the 18 units must be distinct to the minor — that is, not counted toward another major or minor.

Elective Courses (6 units)

Select two additional criminal justice (CRJU) courses of your choice. Any CRJU course not already used to satisfy the required or breadth categories may count toward the elective requirement.
